What we are all going thru is the "Grief Response". It will pass in time |
|
There are five stages of the grief response:
1. Denial-it couldn't really have happened here
2. Anger-how could they have done that to us
3. Bargaining-just let it not be and I'll work harder next time
4. Depression-nothing I did helped. What's the use?
5. Acceptance-OK, they screwed us again. Now what can we do to stop them next time.
Right now I'm stuck at stage four, but starting to see that stage five is at least possible.
This forum is probably the best place to work thru the levels, and we all will have to do it ouselves, with hepl from our brothers and sisters on the Underground.
If we keep talking to each other we'll work thru it. Just don't allow yourself to turn inward with it. That way is the pit. Talk. Express your anger. In this case it's a good thing.

As long as the words "Democratic Party" still remain large in your political views, its likely you are still in phase one.
The Democratic party is dying and that will become even more painfully obvious over the course of the next twenty-four months. In 2006, when most of the Democratic incumbents go down in flames, or switch sides, it will be even more apparent, and there will still be individuals of good will who will continue to deny the fact that this Party is not capable of mounting an effective national campaign again.
It's time to ditch this party and go find a new one.

7. I posted this last night but it is worth a repeat |

This is by Emerson, one of the greats.
Finish each day and be done with it. you have done what you could. some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. tomorrow is a new day. you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

8. We need to regroup and start working to prevent a Super Majority! |
|
If you think it's bad now imagine what they will do with out Dems in congress to stop them.
They already have a plan to steal another 5 seats, no doubt.
We don't have a plan to stop them.
