BOYCOTTING WAL MART WON"T WORK |
|
All the managers at Wal Mart are voting Republican anyway, nothing is going to change that.
The ones we need to boycott are the ones who SHOULD be with us, but chose to side with the Republicans for tax cuts. I saw today that only 66% of union voters voted for Kerry.
Now, coming from a union family, that is not how it is suppossed to work. When one union needed help, they ALL pitched in, and EVERYONE in the union helped out. Maybe one or two guys sat out, but they were called RATS and their lives made miserable.
We have a bunch of soft pansy union members who want to ride the coattails of men and women who put their necks out there so these people have the benefits that they do. THESE are the places we need to boycott. We need to remind THESE people what life can be like.
I guarantee you, quit shopping Safeway and let a few guys have to be let go, or their hours reduced, or demoted -- they will get the damned message in a hurry, then they will come back to us. Right now, they let us do their dirty work then vote Republican to get slimy little tax credits. It's time for the democrats to tell the unions either you support us completely or not at all, we don't put our asses in a sling for 66% of the vote.
We only lost by 2% people. We can swing this stuff in our favor, but we cannot continue to do it by being nice.

1. No they won't you will defund unions |

Besides, I'd like to see a greater breakdown than "union members" Technically, Mel Gibson and Robert Duvall are union members.

3. I used union members as a group |
|
of people who should be supporting us by 85% or so. Small businesses should be with us as well. You know, all of those "mom and pop" operations that I shop at to support local guys. How about your local bank?
I think the message should be clear. We support you, but you do not support us. We fight for the little guy, and you VOTE in the big corporation. We are tired of spending more time, money, and effort to frequent your businesses in the name of American enterprise, only to have you stab those who support you in the back to save a dime or two. Therefore, we quit. We are shopping WalMart. The prices are cheaper and they support the same political candidates that you do. Mineswell save a $$ or two, because YOU do not appreciate the fact that I shop, bank, whatever, here instead of with the huge corporations.
This message will reach people who CAN be reached. They are not going to change until they get burned. IT's time to hold their feet to the fire.

4. Who are the businesses that usually support the Democrats |
|
but went for Bush? I think that could be a more productive tactic than boycotting dyed-in-the-wool Republicans, although I will boycott them as well. But perhaps something in addition to boycotting could be done also with these turncoats. Do you know who some of them are?

6. I don't have the breakout |
|
but I think it is something that we need to know, because these are the people who have forgetten where they came from. They are riding the fence and we are paying the price. It's time they learn nobody rides for free.
They said in Ohio only 66% of union members voted Kerry. I think that this statistic needs some investigation. Who did NOT vote Kerry? Union grocers, plumbers, federal employees, teachers????? I don't know. But I know that we need to find out, and then we need to show these people that we will not continue to fight for them if they will not vote for us. Tit for tat.

5. Walmart was SLAMMED tonight on CBS' Without a Trace - the |
|
missing woman was an "EveryMart" employee and the script seemed like it was taken directly from Barbara Ehrenreich's Nickled and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America.
The script covered Walmart, er, EveryMart employees not making a living wage, not having medical benefits, having to double up on low-pay jobs just to get by - and never getting ahead.
The show was a direct, smack down of Walmart. It's continuing next Thursday - the EveryMart single mom employee is still missing and a female FBI agent is going undercover as a nearly destitute, low wage earner to try to find her.

Since the total number of people boycotting WalMart isn't big enough to bring them to their knees, do this: Shop at WalMart. Compare their prices to what you pay at where you'd have to shop if you didn't go to WalMart. Then, figure the difference and donate it to some worthy cause.

but don't forget to let your local store where you usually shop know why you are shopping WalMart instead of them.

10. Not when only 66% of their employees |
|
voted for Kerry it's not. Don't you see, we need 95% of Safeway employees supporting us. We need to send them a message. NO MORE FREE LOADERS ALLOWED.
