Even if you are white join NAACP or Rainbow Push. Ask all you local Democratic friends to join, too.

Start working on 13 and 14 year olds (they'll be old enough to vote in 08) - call you local school to see if they have a civics course and/or a Young Democrats Club. Volunteer to help with the class or club, as an adult mentor.

If you do either, or both of the above, form a "Community Corps", like the Howard Dean groups did, and help stock food pantries, clean up environmental messes, etc.

1. Why Not Just Join DFA?
Dean for America morphed into Democracy for America. It's alive and well. 30 of the Dean Dozen were elected on Tuesday. Meetups were held on Wednesday.

3. DFA is another option
But we have to take DFA ideas into our communities on a larger level. We have to strengthen the youth vote and work in ethnic communities.

2. NOTHING!!! IF YOU DO NOT GET RID OF BBVOTING...
It's simple as that..I know you are all well meaning but you are also delusional if you think our side will get anywhere unless we take out the voting machines that have been used to steal our country...Stop fooling yourselves!

6. I'm hispanic. If I go to the NAACP and ask for membership,
What would they think of the move? I've always thought about doing it, but as an hispanic, I just assumed our goals were at cross-purposes.

8. Maybe now's the time to see what you have in common.
Both groups stand to gain from a more equitable society.
