HOLD THE PHONE.
Greater than 100 percent Republican voting turnout?

80 percent Dem counties/districts voting 2 to 1 for Bush?

From data that is easily available online (at least for now) from the official election result sites?

My basic assumption is that the election result is probably a lost cause either way, but I haven't even COMPLETELY given even that up yet.

But if fraud can be proven, it could wreck Bushco even before they can wreck the country.

It may be nothing.

It may be SOMETHING.

I want to know everything about it though.

Is any of this we are seeing on the threads being looked into in "mainstream" media yet?

3. Check out the threads in DailyKos about this...
...the scenario may not be played out yet, despite all appearances.

We'll know more by the 13th, when the Ohio provisional ballots are counted. If the margin has been reduced to a reasonable number (Kos speculates under 40K), there may well be calls for a recount -- and not from the Kerry campaign this time (which wouldn't be a good P.R. move) but from ordinary Ohio citizens.

Apparently, Ohio has a very clear-cut procedure under which it is easy for a relative handful of voters to request a full hand recount...and said procedures don't contain the ambiguities that allowed Cruella Harris and the SCOTUS to block a full recount in 2000.

Needless to say, should the result of any such recount show Kerry has won, his "concession" matters little -- he still gets the 20 EV.

Now, none of this may pan out. For one thing, the provisional count may end with Bush still too far in the lead for a recount to make any sense. But I wouldn't be shocked to learn that the game is not yet over, and we may get one huuuuuuuge "November Surprise" -- a free vacation back to the Land of the Hanging Chad.

4. How do you do a "hand recount"
of a BBV ballot? I mean, is that even possible?

And, is there some oversight during recounts by objective parties to prevent the recount process being corrupted?

5. Ohio is mostly using paper ballots..
I still believe they stole it in Ohio. It is very easy to fix the results of the vote tabulators - these are machines as well. Unfortunately for the Republicans, there is a paper trail in Ohio. Yes, we need a HAND RECOUNT of all paper ballots in Ohio. I don't believe they won fair and square here AT ALL.

9. Ohio - punch card ballots in 69 of 88 counties
Ohio is one of a few states that still use punch cards. The ballots are used in 69 of Ohio's 88 counties, representing nearly 73 percent of registered voters.

6. Blackwell will make SURE the count of provisional ballots is not
close enough for a recount. He promised Ohio to the chimp and will deliver...he wants to be Governor you know.

8. MSM has no stake in exposing voter fraud. This will have to be
worked on by regular joes like us.

DU attorneys: can the folks who voted for Kerry file some sort of lawsuit if we can prove fraud?

10. the fraud will just be ignored
just like the past 4 years. As long as the "haves" get their share of the cash, little things like rigged elections, burning of the constitution, and shunning of anyone who doesn't fit the fundie mold, won't bother their beautiful minds
