In 2000, the Republicans successfully pushed the meme that the country was too tired after the contentious election to deal with the problems of voting.
The toothless HAVA was passed, and we didn't talk of voter fraud anymore (except Bev).
But now, now, now, we can go talk of voter reform, because what's the threat? Bush won.
We can do this, state by state. Elections are local. Counting is local. We can change this--this fraud.
Look, if there is a way for Home Depot, or every major corporation in the US to use a UPC code or tracking number on every piece of merchandise, why can't I track my vote? Why can't I see online where my vote is?
The technology is out there.
