Website proposes marriage to 'Bush dodgers' (CANADA)
Thousands of disappointed Democrats face the prospect of four more years under the leadership of U.S. President George Bush. But it's not like they don't have options.

The satirical Canadian website www.marryanamerican.ca has been visited by 14,000 people since Monday.

On the front page, it quips that legions of Canadians have "already pledged to sacrifice their singlehood to save our southern neighbours from ... cowboy conservatism."

About 400 potential Canadian suitors have signed up. Joyce Byrne, publisher of left-leaning political journal This Magazine, produced the site with a Toronto-based arts collective.

So I moved on and I'm married (and pregnant) now.

He's still single.

Oh well. Maybe he should consider offering his services....
