What do you all know about K Wave Theory?
My uncle, a professor at University of British Columbia, who is devestated over what is happening in our country (and his) sent me a note of consolation. He alerted me to K Wave Theory. Its interesting stuff. Here is a URL for more info... I know you DUers know about this, so inform me more please.

Here's his note and a URL for more info:

Kristin:
Thanks for your note. Sorry but I see no silver lining here. I suspect that most Americans living in Canada are pretty depressed, as we are. It looks like some sort of bizarre return of the Pilgrims, with Bible under one arm and blunderbuss under the other. Some burning critiques are now appearing in the international and Canadian press. In terms of world leadership and influence, I wouldn't be surprised if this "mandate" represents the end of the American era. Was it the Greeks who theorized that civilizations have cyclical rather than linear live-spans? - at any rate, check into "K-wave theory" (which colleagues tell me is history not theory) and count back to the Great Depression. Whether it is this bad or worse, time will tell.
Of course, I cannot encourage you to leave because of the potential for disruption in family relationships. Canada is a fairly uninteresting country, but it is prosperous, the social system works reasonably well, health care is available to all, natural resources abound, high tech industries thrive, and decisions concerning international affairs tend to be made wisely.
Best to Cole,
Alan

1. Didn't know the name, but have often speculated about
the cyclical or pendulum-based nature of political ideologies.
