Ah-nuld doesn't have a political base or a machine in place to support him. After a session with the California legislature in which he's handed a bunch of bills he finds distasteful to either veto or sign, he'll figure out that being the governor without a base isn't quite as much fun as it looks like in the movies. He'll serve out his term, then cite some bullshit excuse not to run again. Maria's health will probably do.
The real Republicans, the functionaries and bureaucrats who make the party run, will have to find themselves a candidate who will inevitably suffer badly in a charisma comparison with a Hollywood movie star. Ah-nuld will return to Hollywood and movie-making having exhausted his dalliance with politics.

we PICKED UP a seat in the state legislature, I think Arnold's an ass. Of course, he was referencing ballot props...but many of those were set forth by private interest groups NOT the Dem party per se.

... I'd bet the pukes put Schwarzenegger & McCain on their ticket in 2008. I think McCain even alluded to that.

Schwarzenegger is a social liberal and we lost on 'moral values'. The base won't go for it.

California defied the Red tidal wave, we can throw out their puppet just as easily. Maybe if we could get Ben Affleck to run, it's not like his acting career is going anywhere anymore.
