We're in a position of weakness right now, but that'll have to be OK. Let 'em have their mandate, their landslide, their celebration, their overreaction. Use the time to think, plan, live your life, and wait for them to piss off yet more of the world and the American electorate.

You can argue with them that it wasn't a landslide (and you'd be right), but you'd be wasting your time. Anyway, if it's a landslide, then they own the mess "now more than ever". So print out the dead Iraqi children pictures that you know you'll be seeing on Jazeera in the coming days. Put those pictures on their desks and give 'em a high-five for achieving exactly what they wanted. And go visit them while they're standing on line at the unemployment office and raise their spirits by starting up a hearty 4 More Years chant. Get into the spirit of it, and do your planning in the background. But never let them forget that they get FULL CREDIT for this brilliant election decision.
