Take time to thank Senator Byrd,
the man I refer to as THE Senator. As anguished and angry as I am, I can only imagine what this man, who so dearly loves and defends the Constitution, must be going through now. While few congressional democrats have dared to speak out against the tyrant in the White House, The Senator has courageously done so. I'll never forget the eloquent speeches he made prior to the Iraq war vote and will always be grateful to him for that. This morning I sent him an email thanking him for what he has done and assuring him that I and many, many others will continue opposing the regime.

1. Yes!
Of all OUR so-called representatives, he and Kennedy are the only ones I can think of at the moment who stood up and laid it on the line using words that should have woken everyone up.

Why were't all 250-some democratic congresspersons joining them?

2. I don't know if you are in WV, but has Byrd made any statements or
sent out any kind of newsletter message?

but as someone who loves this country so much, he surely must be devastated. I'm in TN.
