A US map showing the red and blue in each state...
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 12:19 PM by truthpusher
...would be nice to see. instead of the whole state being red or blue, we should have a map that shows the percentage of vote in each state. For example 49% red/51% blue or 47% blue/53% red. This would dramatically represent how truly balanced this country is. Does anybody have a map like this? If so, could you provide a link. We need to get this map out to the media to help demonstrate that this country is not a red country!! We are purple for Christs sake!! and Sean Hannity is a dick!! ( sorry, had to throw that one in for good measure  )

We could call it the Obama Map!

1. CNN has the maps. Shows the counties of each state on state map
and whether they voted red or blue.

4. Wont work - because a lot of the counties have mixed votes -
- not everybody in the county voting one way or the other.

2. Yesterday's NY Times.
Didn't color states by percentage, but showed blue/red breakdowns within states.

3. Urmm...
...someone posted one yesterday from USA Today. If South FL doesn't show BLUE, and I mean a nice dark navy f'in BLUE, then you KNOW this election stunk more than the Pompano landfill!

6. What I am talking about is more of a glass half full or half empty...
...look by state - maybe I could make one.

5. Hey tp.... I loved the last part and think that we should all incorporate.
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 12:22 PM by Mikimouse
it into all of the lounge polls from now on. Instead of adding actegory of the usual ilk (i.e., Robb is a dingbat) from now on, I am going to add a category for 'Hannity is a dick!' Like the idea?

9. I am thinking of something much simpler, just to demonstrate to...
...the stupid people in a way they can understand.

I'll try to dig it up, and I'll edit it in here if I find it.

12. Very Interesting
Notice that the reddest states (most pro-bush by percentage) are Idaho, Utah and Wyoming, not the deep south.

Very interesting.

17. yup
Writting off UT, ID and WY is a given, the next 2 election cycles, we MUST figure a way to make the South BLUE! It CAN be done! GA, LA, AR, FL, TN and I think NC, went for Clinton at least once in the pre-BBVoting days.

Lu Cifer, BBV ate my vote and all I got was four more goddamn years of Bush, Dick and Collin! TALK ABOUT GETTING F'ed!

18. 3 clear signs for optimism...
...in my opinion.

1. With the constant * f ups, I think that we can certainly get OH,WV,MO & IA back in the future.

2. FL remains very competitive and jebby won't be governor in 4 years.

3. NM, CO, NV & AZ look to be PRIME for us to cultivate.

All of these, in the case of the electoral reaction to the * screw ups that WILL come home to roost and, to rephrase a (false) media term, "*fatigue", could easily swing to us in '06 & '08.

These states, 99 EV's, plus JK's 252 equals a 351-197 margin.

Can anybody say "real mandate"?

I'd be curious to see the trend.

13. Go to this Link for CNN and then type in your State in the box on bottom
right. It lists how all the counties voted.
