What would Kerry's post-victory press conference have been like? |
|
It's been obvious ever since the beginning of this campaign, and even before then, that whoever won the 2004 election was going to be faced with a dangerously divided nation that was desperate for a unity with more substance than a bumper sticker. Bush doesn't give two tugs of a dead dog's cock about national unity, as was frighteningly evident during his press conference the other day.
But what if Kerry had won? Would he have spoken of spending "political capital"? How would he have addressed the need to bridge the ever-widening ideological chasm? Would he have given thought to the half of the country that didn't vote for him when creating policy for his term?
I know these "What if?" scenarios don't do anyone any good, but I can't help but wonder...

3. I know it's depressing, but does that really matter at this point? |
|
Isn't that a bit like a watergun fight in a rain shower?
