You know what really annoys me about this whole thing?
This is one of the more superficial issues that hasn't really been touched upon in the last few days, what with the creeping fascism and thousands of deaths approaching, but it has been simmering in my mind.

George W. Bush is now a two-term president. They say the winners write the history books and the history books will have him on par with Reagan and Clinton in terms of legend. This coke-headed, drunken perennial fratboy who believes himself to be appointed by God is a success. He's not going to be merely a footnote president like Ford, Carter, or Poppy. No, Pope AWOL's rule will extend for nearly an entire decade, just like Reagan and Clinton.

1. But the chance is still there for comparing him to Nixon.

4. Disgusting...
thought isn't it. May he fail more miserably than the first time around. But always keep in mind--that there are those of us (who are sane and very much in reality check) that will always look at him as the illegitimate, Supreme Court "selected" President in his first term. History cannot erase that part.

7. Nixon was a two-term president
Not all two-term Presidents go down in history as "legend".
