that the red states are regularly hit by HURRICANES and TORNADOES that lead to TREMENDOUS PROPERTY DAMAGE and LOSS OF LIFE?
Could this be GOD'S JUDGMENT UPON THEM? Just asking.
(As for the earthquakes in California, well, we all know the Golden State is a den of HEATHENS and ATHEISTS anyway.....)

crappy building codes and lack of regulations. In California most buildings and freeways can withstand earthquakes. Anymore when there is damage from them, it's older buildings and roads that haven't been retrofitted in time.
But since we are a bunch of liberals, we have the building codes and regulations in place to withstand a lot of natural disasters.
