2. I think it's all over.
They have a chokehold on this country for AT LEAST 2 more years. The best we can do is find ways to subvert.

4. Dead as a doornail.
Unless we still have some heroes in the Justice Department, FBI and CIA, that whole thing is doomed.

5. ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!! yeah. that one's gonna happen.
get it. White wash has been going on and will continue to take place for EVERYTHING that remotely could be pinned on these mafioso. Give it up.

You gotta take your government back by brute force. I thought we had it figured out and would have overwhelming numbers on our side rolling like a gigantic tidal wave. Now we gotta look at every single option and execute.

6. It is real.
The grand jury is still working on the investigation of the outing of Valerie Plame, as well as the attempts to cover it up. Those with little understanding of or appreciation for history may be convinced its not going to happen. But that is nonsense.

If you look at every second-term presidency in modern history, they have had significant problems with scandals. This one will be no different.

7. I don't disagree with your take on history
but with the entire federal government in the hands of the republican's i don't see anything happening iwth this. We must remember that this is the most moral administration in history.

10. The entire federal government
is NOT in the republican's hands. We have to get over this "we lost!" mentality. That's a lie. At very worse, we came in a close second in the presidential election.

Study European governments. Learn about the power that the "opposition party" has! We have plenty to work with in the next two years. But it is important that we start right now.

I agree with your saying this administration pretends to be moral. Let's hold them to it. Now that is the power an opposition party has!

8. Thanks for the calm response H20
We felt like shit exactly 32 years ago. But by the summer of '73, Nixon was taking his "last chopper ride". Watergate also happened before the election but unfortunatly for tricky dick, it just wouldn't go away.

12. There you go!
Nixon won a landslide, and it appeared that the Watergate business could be isolated and kept far from the presidency.

Bush has won the closest election in recent history, and the single largest number of votes ever against a president were cast against him. The Plame case goes directly into the office of the vice president.

We have not lost. We placed a close second. Close enough they can hear us coming up behind them. We've got their back!

...weren't both the House and Senate in Democratic hands? And didn't we still have a Supreme Court that wasn't loaded with shills friendly to the President's father and who still made decisions that established precedent? And didn't we still have a real Fourth Estate?

17. So..... I guess we should just give up
& become good little fundies.
It's my guess that there are plenty of pissed off people inside the beltway. And as I recall many repukes abandoned nixon due to pressure from their constituants. .......P.S. John Dean was a repuke that just couldn't take it anymore.

18. Those are interesting points.
And I do not mean to answer a question with another question, but would you say that what you describe has been the circumstance in each case of a 2nd term president experiencing serious troubles with scandal?

If it's not, than we must surely agree that while specific circumstances do change, there is a general pattern. Perhaps the pattern is what we need to be aware of.

9. You're adorable!
Does your mommy know you're on the Internets?

But seriously, that probably won't happen unless enough Republicans in the House recognize that Evil trumps Politics and that this passel o' douchebags has got to go.

13. AND where is the CIA 9/11 report that "names names"? And...
Where is the last chapter of the Congressional 9/11 report?

Both were to be released "after the election". OK, hand em over!

that they withheld it until after the election. What are they STILL hiding?
