Why is it so freaking quiet?
Like many, I have turned off (what I now like to call) the substream media since Tuesday. But I am still reading some of favorites, and I cannot believe how quiet the Democratic Party is right now... I know we all have our theories, but don't you think we should be hearing something... anything?

1. They are waiting
Work is being done, even if not by them. No point in getting the media all stirred up about it. Best to let the boy king bask in the spotlight for now.

8. Quiet is good.
The less said the better. We will quietly come back like a surprise! We are regrouping and reorganizing and planning and waiting for this one-sided government to show it's true self. I don't believe the Rs can get by the whole next 4 years without reaping the returns that will be visited upon them from their previous policies. Just wait and see. We know and we tried to tell those who supported they guy. I feel happy just sitting back and watching the next 4 years and what will happen. I'm very confident about this as are many others I know. This will be bittersweet.

18. You're right.
I have been pretty quiet and subdued the last 2 days, but I am in shock still, I think. I don't know what's going on, but it does feel like someone should be saying SOMETHING here.

19. I also hope that something is brewing, like a legally-mandated
recount of votes in defrauded areas, but sometimes the quiet is just...quiet.

I thought it was the quiet before the storm when Valerie Plame was outed, and the CIA didn't do anything right away...

I thought it was the quiet before the storm when stories came out about all sorts of stuff, and the people who had the legal means and legal standing to do something about it got mad, but...

nothing has happened. How long do we have to wait?

Despite the rhetoric, millions of people are not going to strike, march for months on end, bring the corps to their knees by not spending money, etc. etc.

20. Perhaps because we simply lost this election ...
... The majority of Americans (Democrats included) have accepted the fact that Kerry conceded early and there is absolutely no chance of ever turning back the 2004 results.

... My constituents in Arizona propose moving forward. Look for common ground, recruit new working families into the Party and not wait until the latest MTV video to "rock the vote" for a base.

... No, rather we are going to turn Arizona blue by hammering away while our opponents are relaxed and cavalier - we will win this state over. Just sit back and watch the show folks.
