This may have come up already, but what about the electors?
Even if all the votes are counted/recounted, and show a supposed loss for Kerry...

AND IF the fraud charges are thrown out...

What about the electors in the electoral college?

I have already heard about one Republican elector who was seriously thinking of switching his stand.

I believe he was in West Virginia, but I may be wrong. He was interviewed on Air America.

Any chance other electors could also vote their conscience?

1. I'm REALLY not sure it would be good for us to win that way.
I know that if Kerry had been the undisputed winner, but some of the electors switched and re-elected Bush, I'd be ready to riot. My guess is we'd see something similar or worse if it happened the other way around.

3. I guess you're right. But what if...
they refused because of voter fraud? Fraud that had been proven but the administration/media just refused to recognize and tossed out?

They might be the only ones who could save us.

But it wouldn't change the problem you're talking about. I'm wondering though, which would be worse; the fight over that or what we are in for the next four years and beyond.

2. These electors are not just anyone
They're elected at the state conventions mostly for their loyalty to the party.

In 2000, my elector was Don Evans, current Commerce Secretary and guy who introduced a librarian to a fun-loving chimp. Good luck switching these guys.

PS - the West Virginia guy announced he is in fact voting for Bush.

4. Drat. When did he announce that?
Thanks for that information. And I imagine they must feel a real pressure to continue to be loyal once they're chosen.
