SBC Says It Will Cut 10,000 Jobs by 2005
Chimpy phoney job stats short lived.

The cuts equal about 6 percent of the current workforce at SBC, the second-largest U.S. telecommunications company. SBC said in its filing that it has cut about 7,000 jobs over the past year, mostly through attrition.

5.  I would ask this question
of those laid off: For whom did you vote?

To those who voted for Kerry: you have my sincere sympathy and I wish you best of luck in finding re-training so you can get on with your lives. And would recommend DU as a place to talk to people who may have some good ideas for you.

To Asshat voters: Tough shit! Eat your Bible.
