Wal-Mart is heinous. Another store to avoid is Home Depot; they are HUGE Repub contributors. Though I don't think they abuse their employees as badly as Wal-Mart.

It's like a clean Wal-Mart with clothes that last more than three months. And they have a real butcher, and real produce, and a real deli, and the Purple Cow and...
I've got to get out of Alaska and back to Michigan.

...the people are always friendly, very clean store and fresh, fresh produce. The produce alone would keep me coming back.
The prices are a higher than Wal-mart and in our town they are right next to each other....so I can flip Wal-mart off as I go in to Meijers.
Cheers, Kim :toast:

Wal-Mart sucks. It's a cacophony of desperation! Every time I've HAD to go into Wal-Mart, my senses have been assaulted with fluorescent plastic and heaps of discounted useless crap. 10 Minutes in that place is as soul-deadening as six hours at the DMV. The fact that they destroy the standard of living on the outside too is just acrid icing on the shit cake.

Severely restricted business before then...
I live in a small college town where wal-mart:puke: is the only mass-merchandiser. I get my food from my university meal plan, and any groceries I might need outside of that, I get at the local Hy-Vee. If I need something that is only available locally at wal-mart, I'll either wait until I go back home to Chicago or buy it at the university bookstore if I need something for a class.
Wal-mart...seriously, that dump is radioactive.:puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:
Edit: used dumbya-like word choice, silly me:)

i am formulating an economic war game plan (it's peaceful, isn't it?) and need some capable mandarins to assist me. a legion of schemers with like minded focus can destroy anything. i intend to do a peaceful cleaning of our marketplace, call it much needed gardening if you will. and when the 'money is clean' so will be many things it later touches...
PM me if you want in. I need regional and local researchers. we can work to provide a solid gameplan for us to work with.

hate the place, of course my little nearby town is desperate for one - gonna give em the land, zonings whatever they want. Most of the town is all excited, god what morans!
Of course this is a community who sees the beautiful farms and ranches around it as VACANT land, awaiting development (read trailer parks) instead of an asset of open space and productivity. Idiots.
