AL Franken on Letterman just said that the "red area" that voted....
for Bush is mostly dessert. The Context: Sean Hannity said that most of the Country is colored red and that shows that most Americans are Republicans.

:silly:

1. What about Government owned or uninhabited property, e.g. wilderness?
I thought about that myself earlier today.

4. Hahaha, Al was complaining about how the electoral college..
was unfairly weighted towards the smaller states, and Dave kept on asking him about it. Then Al kept on repeating that Wyoming had 8 people. Pressed further, he explained.."Two Senators, 1 Congressman, and 5 of Cheney's family". Hahahahaha.

Then when he mentioned Rush Limbaugh he said under his breath "big fat idiot..drug addict". Haha Franken is the man.

On edit:
Was anyone else at the Democracy for America NYC(i think) Retire Tom DeLay party? I popped over to NYC for a couple of days and had to see Al and Howard Dean. It was a lot of fun.

9. If you look at the Electoral Map, the patches of blue
Are the areas where people actually live.

There are as many people in Los Angeles County as there are in Both Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Utah, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho put together.

10. Purple states!
I am so glad Al said that all the states are a different shade of purple. Trust me, the red state/blue state is a talking point for the right. The great "Uniter" Bush* has managed to separate us into red states and blue states. I don't like to see us fall into what I think is yet another trap.

He was great on the show!

12. He was hammering Olielly too!

Kept repeating 'Phone Sex' a lot, and would say those two words very deliberate, funny as hell to watch it.

Then Franken made sure to mention he was beating the hell out of Olielly in the ratings... and that was before the PHONE SEX stuff too!

Olielly is going to go nuts when he sees it Bwahahahaha!!

18. "and then millions changed hands"

Ha ha!

He handled it great too, he was trying to be half polite and hands-off, but at the same time he got some huge shots in.

Very clever, and hilarious!!

Any left coasters ... be sure to check out Letterman tonight!

20. 43%
43% of Kerry voters live in "Red" states. 45% of Shithead voters live "Blue" states.

We need to either drop this Red vs. Blue garbage or break the country up.

21. That was great!
I LOVED that he got the point across that bush* won by the SMALLEST margin of any incumbent president in U.S. history. And when Dave asked, "But wasn't he also elected by the largest number of votes ever?" Franken replied, "Sure. And guess who got the SECOND largest number of votes ever! Kerry!"

Good job, Al!
