My son is wicked to reopen old wounds with his innocence claim: Lady
Times
By Adrian Lee

THE widow and son of Lord Lucan are at war on the 30th anniversary of the earl’s disappearance. He claims that his father was innocent of murder. She accuses her son of being ignoble and reopening old wounds.

The Dowager Lady Lucan, as she likes to be called, described her son, George Bingham, as wicked yesterday after he broke a long silence to assert that the family nanny, Sandra Rivett, was killed by a burglar when an insurance fraud, instigated by the earl, went wrong.

Lady Lucan, who has been estranged from her three children for more than 20 years, also spoke of her anguish at growing old without family support.

Mr Bingham’s claims will be broadcast next Thursday in The Hunt for Lord Lucan, on Channel 4. Lady Lucan, 67, who refused to co-operate with the documetnary, said: “I think my son is an absolute disgrace. I don’t know why he is doing this.

Lucan case recently reopened by the cops.

Duke of Westminster: 5/4 joint fav
Lady Annabel Goldsmith: 6/4 (with a run)
