The Benefits Of A(nother) Stolen Election
Besides keeping bu$h in power--absolute power this time around--let's just look at a few of the perks-and-bennies that Diebold has delivered to the FundiePublicans in late 2004.

1. The Democratic Party will now turn on itself. It will implode under the big scarlet "L" that it has emplazoned upon its own forehead. It has jumped into the toaster and set the controls for the heart of the sun.

2. Exit polls--which have a nasty way of telling the truth if done properly--are discredited now and forever more.

3. The Fundies think they hit this one out of the park. They are now more united behind bu$h than they've ever been, impossible as that may sound. With their King safely ensconced, they are free to turn their fervor upon every social issue under the Son. Imagine what Rove and his boys will be able to accomplish while the Bible-thumpers are providing the Smokescreen of Morality!

4. The Media has its own mandate now. "The people have spoken. They are Behind This President and so are we!" Never will be heard a Discouraging Word; it's Morning in America again. HALLEFALLUJA!

This stolen election will feed the media, which will feed the Sheep a glorious picture of a Nation That Stands As One, which will in turn feed the Boy King's head. Whatever he wants now shall be done without question, without hesitation.

Hitler giggles.

1. Nice analysis.
I think you're absolutely right.

And it's absolutely wrong ... i.e. contrary to the promise of a democratic republic.

Democracy? What was that?
