Could Diebold-gate be the beginning of the end for Bush? |
|
Whether or not we are able to turn the election results on their ear based on the findings, could the very question of impropriety be the thing that motivates someone, anyone, to do the Woodward & Bernstein thing and expose the story? I keep having the feeling that the election will stand, but much like the Nixon re-election, the fraud will come to the surface and he will not be able to complete his term. Could this issue be our modern day Watergate?

Yes. It just seems that there HAS to be someone who can be a mole and get inside. Someone mentioned a reward for anyone already on the inside to whistle blow. Whatever it takes - these people HAVE to have an archilles heel - everyone does.

But only if there is evidence -- and people on the inside are willing to speak out.
Remember Watergate took a couple of years AND new stuff was coming out almost daily -- including people talking.

11. No I don't think we need Micheal Moore |
|
with all due respect, the mainstream media will just use his reputation as another excuse to tune this out.
We need some serious republican senators, thats what we need, God help us.

13. I agree. As much as I love Moore I don't think he should get involved |
|
His involvement, while high profile, will turn off a large section of America that doesn't like him but is interested in making sure this election was fair. I think that his involvement will jeopardize our efforts.

If lying the country into war and outing a CIA agent were not enough to get Shrub out, this issue is pretty tame by comparison.
What we need is footage of him and Condoleeza getting it on. Then there might be a chance to dislodge his arrogant butt out.

But the family values thing goes out the window. Also, the Aryan Nation part of his base might balk, too.

8. My prediction for what it's worth |
|
Cheney will resign for health reasons. The remaining sane Republicans will install a moderate as VP and then allow Bush to be impeached for one of his many impeachable offenses. (Voter fraud-gate could be the one that gets him.)
Of course, this assumes there are any sane Republican leaders left and they have any real power. I'm seriously starting to doubt it.
Oh, and this will be several years from now, if ever.

|
Right now, it's not on the radar of 99.75% of America or the Corporate Media.
We need data...lobbyists...PR....and a whole boatload of good luck to get this done by Dec 13.

leadership doesn't push it, this subject will go sqaurely in the "loony conspiracy" category- no matter what the evidence is. I've got to tell you, with Clinton telling us to "stop whining", and Kerry talking about "standing up to Bush" over the next four years... I am not hopeful.
