We need voting legislation that says three things
1. paper trails for all machines nationally

2. mandated recounts if the voting tally varies from the exit polls by more than .3%

3. mandated number of machines and poll workers per population

WE MUST USE THE CURRENT GROWING FRAUD CONTROVERSY TO PUSH THIS IMMEDIATELY

THE DEMOCRATS SHOULD FILIBUSTER EVERYTHING UNTIL WE GET IT THROUGH CONGRESS

OUR PEOPLE NEED TO GO ON TV AND K EEP TALKING ABOUT FRAUD AND MACHINE ERROR AND THE NEED FOR PAPER TRAILS TO GET THE POULATION BEHIND US

1. Yes, but
Your

2. mandated recounts if the voting tally varies from the exit polls by more than .3%

I think that will be used against us when necessary -- even to the point of messing with the exit polls.

4. Exit pollers must be independent
not another right wing corporation!!

The international election inspectors use the discrepency between exit polls and voting tallies to determine fraud.

7. If we start to talk about felons being able to vote
It will become controversial. Though I think that should be a separate law.

This needs to be something clear and nonpartisan. We can point to all the voting irregularities that worked against the GOP as well as the Dems as reason to have safegurads.

2. YES!!!
These are reasonable and well thought out. There is nothing fringe-like in any of these proposals.

3. 4) keep exit polls legal
I heard they're thinking about banning them, citing them as erroneous

6. We must have exit polls and then use them to determine a recount
And we must have a way to recount: paper trails.

9. One more.....an extension of time to
allow all the ballots to be counted before certification. Those rules were made when there were fewer people voting.

8. One more thing needed
and YOU (collective you) can do it right now!

Democrats need to sign up to be pollworkers and poll managers with their local elections officials.

Almost every polling place in this country is manned by old, frail republicans who have been doing it for 20+ years.

The number of Democratic poll workers is pathetic.

What the hell do you expect to happen at a polling place when everyone in control of the polling place is a republican?

Who is going to stop polling place disenfranchisement when everyone in control of the polling place is a republican?

Right now. Stop what you are doing and find out what it takes to become a poll worker for the very next election. This minute.

Be prepared on Monday morning to walk into work and tell your boss you'll be working the polls at every election in the future and you want to know if he/she is going to be unAmerican and deny you that right.

Let the old folks who have been running the polls retire. Bring fresh Democratic blood into the polling places where the votes are cast and the die is set for disenfranchisement.

Do. It. Now.
