Thinking about JFK Jr., who has been gone 5 years now, reports were he was just about ready to get into politics just before his death. I think he would have either run this year in 2004 or 2006 for something. Maybe a State Rep position somewhere to start. Its too bad he's gone. Does everyone accept the official explanation of his death or is there any evidence of something more to it?

3. Just another "Pilot Error" I have been rethinking that whole accident too. |
|
Because you know the * play a long game and have been jealous for decades of the Kennedys. Can you imagine baby bush up against JFKjr? JFKjr wasn't the sharpest but he was Einstein compared to baby, not to mention young, handsome and charming. Bet they drooled when they thought about assassinating him. Even if they didn't do it, you know they thought about it.

4. As a pilot with over 5,000 hrs. as PIC, I serious question the |
|
version of events that led to his death. For one thing, in refutation of the "vertigo" argument, all he had to do was switch on the autopilot and guide the plan with a simple turn of a knob. He would have definitely known to do that. Short of that, he couldn't have been in heavy clouds, only reduced visibility. Radar has verified that he was close to Martha's Vineyard where there were lights on the ground. Once he spotted any of those, he would have been oriented.
It is possible that he somehow got caught in a vertigo situation but it seems highly unlikely.
He most definitely would have been a candidate for President which certainly would have made him a target for assassination.

7. Did he have an instrument rating? (I don't recall that he did) |

More than one good pilot has gone down by relying on the "seat of his pants" in poor vis.
Still...your point about use of the AP is valid. Why wouldn't he be using it if he was on course at altitude?
I don't recall icing being an issue at the time.
Maybe he did accidentally fly into a missle.
BTW: 5000 hrs?....WOW !

9. JFK got his pilot's license at Flight Safety in Vero Beach, |
|
one of the best flight schools in the country. No, he didn't have an instrument rating but, like all private pilots had received several hours of instruction on instrument flying. A plane like his would have had an autopilot. Almost all do. Yes, he could have been flying "by the seat of his pants". But, the moment he started losing control, he would have switched on the autopilot. And if he did so before the plane inverted, the autopilot would and leveled the wings and proceeded on whatever course heading that happened to be on when turned on.
I happened to have been riding in the right seat on an flight in a twin Aero Commander on an inky, low visibility night. We were at 10,000. The pilot was a non instrument rated pilot. As the flight progressed, I began to notice wider and wider oscillations from the norms of straight and level. After about four minutes of that, the pilot asked me to take over, which I did. My point in telling the story was that under conditions similar to JFK's, to took the pilot about 4 minutes to realize that he was losing it, plenty of time to switch on an AP or pull back the throttle and descend to an altitude where the horizon would have been defined.

6. He was murdered, just like Wellstone, Carnahan... |
|
An eyewitness told investigators he saw flames coming from the rear fuselage. His report was stricken from the report because eyewitness accounts were ruled as "unreliable."

10. Just contrast JFK,Jr and GWB |
|
JFKJr was a person who truly cared and did not act like a spoiled, petulant child. W has always been a sicko, spoiled brat. I've seen several sources that report he blew up frogs with firecrackers as a kid. SICK!!! If that had been my kid right to the mental health counselor he would have gone. I guess for the Bush family that was getting him ready to be president. Read excerpt from "Bush on the Couch" if you can. REALLY SCARY! I bet Laura, or the ultimate Stepford wife, could tell us a lot. She can't say anything even if she wanted to. I'm sure it was not her idea to go stumping for her wacko husband.

JFK Jr. would have been President. Perhaps as soon as 2012 or 2016. Sad.
