If enough fraud can be proven, can we demand a re-vote? |
|
It stands to reason that if our election was tampered with (again) our government should be obligated to hold a second election, only get it right this time.
Can we petition, to get Bush out of the White House?
It doesn't make any sense that if an election is rigged, and we can prove that it was rigged, that our only recourse is to sit and wait for the next rigged election.
If we can act on this, we need to act now, before the next 9/11 rallies the sheep around this fucktard again.

1. I wonder this too, but it seems very unlikely, it takes a lot of planning |
|
to pull off an election. It is a good thought, but I just don't see how it is possible. :(

hit it on all sides and from all angles.
cast enough doubt in every way we can so that they can't have it anymore, similar to what happened to "mission accomplished"

The state electors will vote whether we prove fraud or not.

Are you serious? Take a look at government in Washington. Who the hell do you think will stand behind a recall/revote effort?

The People. Obviously we can't count on you, eh? Our biggest problem is people like you.

13. No. Here's your biggest problem: |
|
Your biggest problem is not understanding how America works today.
The Republicans have rewritten the rules of how this country is run. Go ahead and cry foul. Go ahead and protest.
It doesn't mean shit in the grand scheme of things. Republicans and NeoCons have changed public perception and taken over the country.
Do all the crying and bitching you want about how the election was stolen. Even if you can prove it, then you have to get the media to show that proof to the American public. If somehow you get that to happen, what then? In a country where the majority of people voted for Dubya and his lies, who's going to believe your story? The American people have proven they're nothing if not willfully ignorant in the face of concrete facts.
Oh, and then there's the problem of getting the election results overturned. I'm sure that all three Republican-held branches of the federal government will be lining up to do that.
So, no, you can't count on me to do anything about this recount...because short of starting another Civil War, there isn't going to be one no matter what we say. I know we were had, but there's nothing I can do about it in the immediate future. Nor is there a political leader in Washington who's going to help. We need to regroup and plan a way to get the Democratic Party back on its feet and make it relevant for the people in middle America.
Feel free to waste your time crying about right and wrong when you're fighting an enemy who doesn't care about those concepts. We're up against a political opponent who cares about one thing: power. Democrats and Liberals are too worried about doing the right thing. Obviously, it's not working out too well for us.
Stop complaining about how the bad guys are doing bad things to America. We had a candidate who spent the last year doing that. Obviously, no one's listening anymore.
If you want to fight your battle by trying to change something that's already happened and that you have no control over, be my guest. I'm going to work to make changes so that this same bullshit doesn't happen again.

6. And who would be pres while we spent the time and money |
|
to do re-vote? Sobering thought, actually.
I would argue for nationwide re-count; which would still be long and expensive but, I believe, more feasible.

Since no one is bothering to follow the legalities of the Constitution anymore, why should we?
I think we should demand a new manual vote in all those states with the E-voting machines that didn't match the exit polls.

The vote belongs to the American people. The government belongs to the American people. We have a right to elections that are above any suspicion, and we don't have to "prove" anything to "earn" that right.
I would be suspect of anyone who suggests otherwise. They are either ill-informed or have an agenda. This is so basic, so important, so fundamental. There is absolutely NO argument whatsoever that would support blocking or suppressing the demand for an investigation into this election.
Move on? Move on to WHAT?? Get over it? Get over the death of democracy?
We have a right to know beyond the shadow of doubt. WE are not the criminals, we are the people. The vote belongs to US not to the politicians. The burden of proof in this case is on the government, not on the people.
