I read a rural small town newspaper last night
there were four - count 'em - FOUR opinion pieces by conservative assholes - including one by ANN COULTER - absolutely filled with lies about Kerry and Democrats. Total number of opposing viewpoints - NONE.

Disgusting. Al Franken is right--it's hard to accept the results of
a campaign based on lies.

But I have a bigger gripe with the suburban voters more than the rural voters. These McMansion-dwellers and wannabes are the most obnoxious Bush supporters and should know better.

10. these are the "corporate criminals" who believe the rules
have no relevance for them. They will have to lose a child, or be forced to bear one to wake up.

1. Happens all over around here.
No news but this kind of stuff. There is no wonder that we can't make any headway. I thought we were doing better, everything in my part of this red state led me to believe we were but then the rest of the state is full of tiny towns that most likely get those same news stories. Every time I have ever seen one Ann Coulter is in it.

2. Our suburban newspaper conglomerate here is owned by a guy ...
who makes Bush* look like a Green. He's a fruitcake. Nobody reads his newspapers, either -- you can see them in driveways all over the county, composting in their plastic sleeves in the driveway every week.

This is what rural voters get for 'information' -- is it any wonder they vote the way they do? They cultivate them like mushrooms -- keep 'em in the dark and shovel lots of bullshit on them. Every four years, they come out of their houses, squinting like moles, to punch the 'R' button, then go home to guess the vowels with Pat Sajak.

8. small town news for small minds
Small town newspapers are godawful. Filler to wrap around Walmart circulars and written to please the real estate agencies. No serious discussion of the problems in the community (such as the drug problem in my small town).

13. Skittles, no offense, but why put yourself through that?
Why not just dental surgery instead? A little easier on the brain and more productive.
