Kerry's Big Mistakes
Kerry's Big Mistakes (Top ten list)
======================
1) Voting for it before he voted against it. Pretty bad gaffe.
2) Not getting on Bush's case sooner about letting Osama go.
3) Promising to ban the Bible. That's the #1 bestseller, man.
4) Promising to require Gay marriage. Why would he take a side on this?
5) Shooting himself in Viet Nam to get those Purple Hearts. Sick.
6) Promising to give over US authority to wage war to the UN.
7) Dukakis moment #1 - the cleanroom scene. The bunny suit is not presidential.
Dukakis moment #2 - goose hunting, and coming back empty handed.
9) *Not* dropping an F-bomb, like Cheney did. Tough people drop F-bombs.
10) Not promising the American people they would get hit big by a terrorist attack if Bush were re-elected.

2. Kerry CONSTANLY drops F-bombs
He did in the rolling stone interview.

Also, according to a lot of profiles, he curses up a storm. The Newsweek profile has him constantly cursing out people when he's pissed off.

12. Some of these are from Al Franken's blog on Air America

such as

Wednesday, November 03, 2004

(sarcasm on) snip

" example, in the first debate, Kerry announced that he would put our national security decisions in the hands of France. He said very explicitly that we would have to pass a global test before using force. I think a lot of us watching at the time thought that that was a mistake.

Also, of course, the flip-flops, especially those about Iraq. Voting, as you know, for the war, then against it, for it, then against it-having, as Sean Hannity said, literally 80 different positions. I wish he could have chosen one position and stuck with it.

Kerry’s decision to ban the Bible. That was a huge mistake, especially in very Christian areas. That might have gone over fine in atheist communities, but it cost him big everywhere else.

snip

And going back to Vietnam, the way he lied about what happened, inflicted those wounds on himself to get those medals, and then threw them out-I think that was a mistake. Of course, that was a mistake that he made back then, decades ago. But he could have been more honest about it now."
