Call to action email I recived - so it starts!!!

Just got this - I think everyone should send this out!

To the more than 55 million Americans who said NO! to the lies, deceptions, and incompetence of George W. Bush and the Republicans, this is a call to action.

Do not despair.

We have lost a significant battle and there are many recriminations swirling among Democrats and Progressives; but know this, we are right, and they are wrong.

Here’s what’s happening, and what you can do to help.

1) There are extensive efforts underway to examine Black Box Voting. There is overwhelming evidence of voter fraud, and yes, it’s okay to use the “F” word.

Fraud.

When it can be proven beyond any doubt, you’ll know about it.

Because so much was asked of you during this campaign it is difficult to ask for more, but it’s your country we’re fighting for.

If you can spare 1$ to 5$, please donate to http://www.blackboxvoting.org/

This is ground zero in the fight to take back our country.

Remember, it’s .org NOT .com

2) TURN OFF YOUR TELEVISION, ESPECIALLY CABLE NEWS!

The opposition controls the media machine. It’s full of GOP influenced spin, propaganda and outright lies. Watching enables the liars to pollute your brain. Propaganda is essential for dictators to maintain control over the population. By saying NO! to the media, you are making the first step in bringing down an organized effort to steal our country.

CNN, MSNBC, and FOX NEWS NETWORK are not telling you the truth.

3) Boycott companies that support Republicans

Money is the only language these people understand. By putting a stranglehold on their dollars, you make a difference, and every little bit helps.

Soon a list of companies who support Republicans will be available.

For starters, Say NO! to Federal Express and UPS, especially during the holiday shipping season. Use the United States Post Office instead!

4) Write your Senator and Congressmen/women.

The one thing that scares a politician is an informed voter. Let them know that you will hold them accountable for how they vote and will campaign either for or against them based on how they vote. Make certain that THEY know you aren’t going away.

Contacting your members of congress is simple! DO IT TODAY!

5) Remember that you are not wrong!

Do not believe the lies and spin already being circulated.

George W. Bush does NOT have a mandate!

Democrats did NOT lose because of “moral values”

And always remember, this is YOUR country and it’s worth fighting for!

This is a grassroots campaign to reach Americans who support the cause of Truth and Liberty. Please forward to like minded people.

WOW!

3. Thx! I think we really need to kick off the Starve the Beast campaign.
This would address the point about avoiding business with companies that support the Republicans. I'm certainly willing to invest time in this campaign and i'm hoping there are others that are serious about it, too.

Let's go get 'em!

7. I forwarded the email.

I think we really need to compile a list of companies that support republicans and circulate, circulate, circulate.

We also need to really push the SAY NO TO TV campaign as well.

IMHO.

we need to get organized. Maybe DU should have a Starve the Beast discussion forum?

14. Yes!

We need to fight like THEY do.

And you all know who THEY are.

We need:

1) Lists of companies that support republicans

2) We MUST support Bev Harris and constantly talk FRAUD!

3) We MUST boycott the media machine

4) We MUST be constantly aware of pending legislation in congress

WE MUST GET SERIOUS AND GET ORGANIZED! JUST LIKE THE OPPOSITION!

17. Good idea for a forum!
My (previous) Ohio Women for Kerry group members are begging for a list like that.

They, too, want to do SOMETHING and that's a start.

5. Awesome! I've already changed my avatar and sig line since Tuesday..
I already boycott the corporate cable news jerks.. The USPS is a GREAT suggestion for the holiday mailing season. I'd like to find a list of companies that DO support the Dem causes, or are TOTALLY neutral.

But as far as boycotts, I need my republican customers to survive and I know if we boycott them they will boycott us.

Another direct action that is working here, you can get an excel file of donors to dems and r's here for house party invites on the one hand and re-education campaigns on the other ;) http://www.fundrace.org/block_party.php

9. We Need to Talk About The Election Fraud Constantly
Stick it in their faces at every turn.

The mainstream news media have been spoon fed a new word by Bush/Rove. That word is "evangelical," and they are babbling it excitedly like babes at a day care to the exclusion of some very real issues impacting the Bush Presidency.

The second Bush/Rove pabulum is the Bush "mandate," also being belched along with the evangelical pill. Meanwhile, no one seems to entertain the possibility that the Bush "mandate" may mostly be an Electoral WMD.

That is not to imply that Republican grassroots efforts, moral values, the evangelical vote were important especially in Ohio. No question. Kerry was up against it in a nation voting with its Bible and belly instead of its brain. But, those issues are instantly eclipsed by the following:

1. Electronic (BBV) voting, or any voting method that does not leave a permanent paper trail which can be audited is a felony to democracy.

The legitimacy of democratic elections is predicated upon the electorate's ability to verify election results. To deny the people or any candidate the option of a recount is directly contrary to the democratic principles upon which this nation was founded. Therefore any voting method not leaving a permanent verifiable record should be eradicated forever from the American political landscape.

2. Re: Exit polling, please no more excuses or distortions. Exit polling always correlates within 2% with voting tallies. We need answers, or in the absence thereof, a serious investigation of the following facts:

a. In Election 2004 the only exit polls that did not correlate closely with voting tallies were in states using BBV or a combination of methods including electronic machines. http://www.bluelemur.com/index.php?p=388" WHY?

b. In Election 2004, in every instance where there was significant statistical discrepancy between the exit polls and the voting tallies, George W. Bush was the recipient of additional votes and never John Kerry. WHY?

***The statistical probability of a & b resulting from something other than random chance will be published shortly.

c. "The last wave of national exit polls we received, along with many other subscribers, showed Kerry winning the popular vote by 51 percent to 48 percent." http://nytimes.com/2004/11/05/politics/campaign/05poll.html

If you think that I am screaming fraud, you are missing the point. I submit that these issues should be thoroughly investigated, not in any attempt necessarily to overturn the election, but to pursue the truth which is the mainstay of any democracy and which used to be the heart and soul of news journalism.

10. I don't hear any fat lady....
she hasn't even started warming up.

Archived now, partly since I didn't want to call attention to the possibility, but I wrote a piece on why this isn't over if there is fraud and a sort of inspirational kick in the ass for another blog and posted it on DU as well. We can make this happen if we all pitch in to do whatever is in our power to help.
