In Honor Of Labor Day, my story of how corporations don't get it
I recently applied to refinance my house. I had been out of work from November until the end of July. The mortgage broker told me that I would have to write a letter explaining why I was out of work for so long. WTF?? Are their heads that far in the sand? BTW, I didn't end up doing the mortgage. We had some late payments in June and July which have totally devastated my credit, so it wasn't worth refinancing after all. This crushes me because I had worked so hard to overcome a problem I had had after a divorce years ago, and now it is all for naught. We had hung on for several months and then missed some payments damn it. Better hit post before Labor Day is over.

2. Thanks, It just seems that even though I am finally back to work
I am still just barely surviving to keep my head above the water and the wolves from the door. I had two kids start college and another in junior high who needed clothes and school supplies, etc. My husband is being jerked around by the VA trying to get disability benefits. Here I am working midnights trying to keep it all together. Damn sometimes I just want to stay in bed and make it all go away.

3. So sorry, this really sucks!
My husband has been out of work for a while, and our credit is screwed up too. It's a real pain.

Yes, I know too well. Credit's now no good from the constant juggling since long before 9/11 - Lost two opportunities since then; most recently since Nov 02. When he selected this family for sacrifice, he got got three for the price of one: his job, my job, and the Gramps ability to stay at a pleasant assisted living home. SHAME ON YOU GW
