Why do people take political advice from some half-wit...
who spent a little time at some jerkwater "seminary"?

To hell with Southern Baptists and fundamentalists. If there are any Southern Baptist DU-ers offended by this, you need to face a simple truth. Your denomination is now and forever in the hands of zealots and fanatics. If you disagree with the loons, it is time for you to break away. And remember, breaking away is a fine and honorable Protestant tradition.

1. Yup
the battle lines have been drawn, and not by us. If you're a Southern Baptist, a Mormon, a Catholic, or some random flavor of hard-or-soft evangelical, your church is fighting against you. Supporting them now is unconscionable.

2. Whoah, just a second there,
my local parish priest would hit * with a shovel if he could get near enough to him.

3. sorry
but the Catholic church in America is fighting against you and me. You can cut them off, or you can keep subsidizing their fight.

6. Where were they?
I know there are Bishops in this country who agree with you. Where were they? Why weren't they all over the media talking about Catholics considering ALL issues when voting? Beware of false prophest, wolves in sheeps clothing. The Christian community has got to stand up and say it, and Catholic Bishops who know the truth about Bush and these zealots need to lead the way.
