Karen Hughes privatly told Bush he was going to lose big
Edited on Sat Nov-06-04 11:30 PM by demdem
I think we have them by the balls, no I dont think Bush new it was rigged, but somebody rigged it for him. Hughes knew he lost the exit polls knew he lost and we know he lost.

Election night, I'd been doing live election coverage for WDEV, one of the radio stations that carries my syndicated show, and, just after midnight, during the 12:20 a.m. Associated Press Radio News feed, I was startled to hear the reporter detail how Karen Hughes had earlier sat George W. Bush down to inform him that he'd lost the election. The exit polls were clear: Kerry was winning in a landslide. "Bush took the news stoically," noted the AP report.

59. false premise
What is needed is not "proof."

What is needed is reasonable cause for launching an investigation.

Read that article and tell me that the evidence does not reach that threshold.

7. I heard yesterday on one of the evening news shoes
that Bush had decided to go home instead of his party, presuming he'd lost, and that Kerry had started working with his speechwriter preparing his acceptance speech. That's how much they both believed the polls to be reliable.

So WHO was in on it?

If this story is verified then it's more evidence that the exit polls were correct and even bush believed them.

We know that we can't take jabs without being called partisan, however a massive smackdown will provide all the desired results.

We will take our country back.

45. I hope to God you're right.
Unlike a lot of people here, I don't hold any ill will against Kerry. I think he had reasons for doing what he did, whether they were part of a larger strategy because of the fraud or for personal reasons.

Still, I feel helpless. I'm too small and insignificant to effect any real change, but I'm hoping those with the power are using it. I doubt it will change the results of this (s)election, but I hope that it comes back to bite the Bush people in the ass.

But it is vague as to what "earlier" means. Whether 8, 9 or midnight, there is simply no way that Hughes told Bush "he was going to lose" and that Bush took the news stoically.
And why release this exchange after the fact?

Need to know basis, and all.

But this is rather interesting. Sounds like she's getting her message out. Read: I had nothing to do with election rigging.

Between the rigged voting and Valerie Plame, things have got to be getting rather messy for Karl. Can't think he has a whole lot of friends on Capital Hill, in the CIA/FBI, in the Democratic Party, and the dwindlinge moderate Republicans who are fighting to keep the lunatics from completely taking over the Republican Party.

FYI, CBS reported that later Rove left his self-proclaimed "Batcave" where he was hard at "work" to tell Bush and his staff that Bush had won Florida and Ohio and would win the election.

Interesting that Rove identified himself with Batman and his high-tech arsenal of weapons and snooping devices.

34. The question is this....
If true about Hughes, when did they start planning the theft?

Could Hughes and Rove operated independently of each other?

In other words, if Hughes thought they would lose - did Karl, but more importantly - how well thought out is their theft? How much time did they have to cover their tracks? If they didn't have it all planned out - then they will have created a sloppy, easily detectable theft and co-conspirators will have different stories or can be cracked more easily?

Like 9-11, this theft would require a lot of cooperation - better to trip them up?

Silly?

48. Not silly to think they were sloppy in covering up their trail
Even if they had been meticulous, there will always be some indication of hacking. There is no way to erase all the evidence. The trick is in finding it and then using that evidence to locate the same in other machines.

It's just a matter of time. We have to be patient just for a while. It'll pay off and in a big way. :toast:

looking pretty sloppy

i figured they started it when rove called brokaw and told him the exit polls where wrong and they needed to re check them. spent the next three four hours reversing votes, then bush went on camera in the yellow room

his win. my friend had left the room to make a call. and she came back all excited, any news,.........and i was just quiet, not good. sounds like bush just stole the election. and it went down hell from there. the shot of the room, and confusion in journalist that they were asked to go up there n short notice, and they were there for just a moment and then ushered out. it all felt odd.

but it felt like that is when they new the election was rigged for bush
