If the Republicans know they can't win, why don't we know they can't win?
Look, when your party's "ground game" consists of equal parts GOTV and "suppress, confuse, misdirect and intimidate the other party's voters", that's an admission that you can't win in a fair election.

When you have to rely on the most disgusting, dastardly campaign of personal destruction (think SBVT and "John McCain has a black kid"), you know you can't win.

When you are scared to death of actually counting the votes, you know your party can't win.

And when your favorite voting machine is the kind that can't be audited, you've admitted to yourself that you can't win.

Earlier today on the Guy James show, Mr. Beach Buckeye said that he now realizes that "there are more of them than there are of us". I respectfully disagree. The Republicans know that there aren't more Republicans than Democrats. The evidence proves they know it. Why don't we?

4. I completely agree with EVERYTHING you just said, and have been
saying much the same in many conversations in recent weeks.

But the Repubs "win" these rigged games, just like the carnies at the fair. And Americans don't care enough about the rigged games. They, even many of the poor ones, are too "comfortable" to worry about it.

When there are massive bread lines, or tens of thousands of drafted somebody's sons dying, then they might be willing to listen a little about BBV or tax cuts for the rich.

I was hoping that this election was our last best chance to shrug off Bushco before such solutions became necessary. I'm not very optimistic anymore.

2. what rips my sack
is the media, knowing they speak false, looks straight into the lens and repeat flip flop, 87 billion, etc.
this is no longer conspiracy theories, alarmist dialog.
it is blatant in your face "fuck you" to the people
fifty straight hours of wind and rain reporting of the hurricanes.kerry got a glimmer to get his message to the people
oh yeah, we gotta fix it.

3. That's a very good question...
I totally agree with what you say. I've said for a long time that the Repukes know they can't win on the issues, so all they have is fear, fear and more fear, mixed in with a lot of intolerance and bigotry (i.e the rampant homophobia that permeates the Republican Party). The Dems and the left in general have a lot of soul searching to do in the coming days and weeks. We have let the right psych us out in a sense. They operate under a veil of smoke and mirrors and it is damned near impossible to uncover all of their BS. We must take back the language and thereby the message. Until we do that, we will be in a permanent minority status.

5. You better believe I agree and why buy up vote machine companies?
Any rich idealogue Dems feel it necessary to get heavily into the vote machine industry?
