Plus, whenever he says something about Dems or Clinton or you, you can just say "Well Joe, we all have our little problems. Skeletons in your closet, or office, so to speak."

6. Hollywood

75% of his show is talking about Hollywood. What Susan Sarandon thinks, what Alec Baldwin thinks. I don't think he's a McCarthyite by any means, but it's interesting how obsession with Hollywood has been a Republican motif for decades.

Hollywood is all bread and circuses run by corporations anyway - we, the unimportant working people of the US are supposed to be interested in the personal lives of Jen and Ben instead of in having control over our own lives. Then some of these beautiful people, most of whom are from the working class, actually still have some ties to their working class roots, like Ben Affleck who went back to Boston for a Justice for Janitors thing a few months ago (which I learned on E's the real Hollywood Story or something). Sacre bleu! This puts a slight monkey wrench in the whole bread and circuses thing, so we're supposed to resent these people for trying to help out the janitors or whoever.

One positive aspect is kids today are so bombarded by advertising they are becoming somewhat desensitized to it's effects in the view of the advertising industry.
