In this thread RevCheesehead said:

"I've joked with friends that the Donkey is an important symbol through Jesus' life. His mother rode on one on her way to Bethlehem. The Donkey witnessed his birth. And the Donkey carried him triumphantly through the streets of Jerusalem the week before his crucifixion."

Is God telling us, through the Holy Bible stories of Jesus and the donkey, that we should let the donkey, the icon of the Democratic party, carry us?

I have a college edu(ma)cated conservative catholic sister-in-law who swears she can see a catholic symbol (? flame of the holy trinity) in an old picture of her parents. This is so so bizarre, I can't tell you. I bet she would think twice about RevCheesehead's observation of the donkey and Jesus.
