Portland, Oregon protests Bush and Iraq War. Anybody go? |
The station KATU 2 in Portland reported over 100 people took to the streets to protest Bush re-selection and the Iraq war. Did anybody go and how many people really went? http://www.katu.com/stories/72341.htmlJohn

1. Just got a email from LA |
Hollywood was shut down this afternoon. Over a thousand people stormed the Army recruit center on Sunset and LaBrea (right up the block from us). There were fire trucks, ambulances, dozens of helicopters, etc. Traffic was completely diverted from all sides for miles. It took hours to get it sorted out. It was an anti-war protest. NOBODY is talking about it on the national news and it was mentioned for 15 seconds on the local (NBC) news as a traffic jam. Biased news coverage? THAT'S where we have to start first. Hold the "journalists" accountable. Demand better coverage.

2. Protest where it does the most good... |
Take the mass protests to the TV stations. Get 10000 people together with "Count My Vote" signs and take it to the front door of your local affiliate, then see how they describe the "traffic jam".
If we did that in about 50 cities, I bet it would make the national news too.
