Edited on Sun Nov-07-04 03:40 AM by henslee
Obsessing 24/7 about fighting gay lifestyles means your still spending loads of time thinking about someting you supposedly are not into... which in a way means your actually into it on some level, considering you spend so much time thinking about it. Its kind of... weird. If you're not into it, ignore it. Organize your stamp collection. Balance your checkbook. Play with your kids.

3. Tell a republican they are a repressed homosexual
They will spend days trying to figure out what 'repressed' means before they even get to the homosexual part

7. The way I've heard it explained
is that gays getting married is a threat to straight marriages. I don't know...maybe Republicans are afraid their spouses will suddenly "turn gay" and leave them if they get an opportunity to marry someone of the same sex?

13. Ergh
"is that gays getting married is a threat to straight marriages."

To which you should reply "Isn't divorce a bigger threat to straight marriages?"

They'll be wanting a constitutional amendment forbidding divorce next. :eyes:

8. I don't like gay sex.
I don't like watching it, find even thinking about it slightly uncomfortable, and sure as heck don't want to participate in it.

I feel the same way about NASCAR.

But I am a live-and-let-live kind of guy. I have gay friends, and friends who like NASCAR. I have a lot in common with my friends, but when they start discussing Dale Earnhardt Jr. or men's behinds I withdraw from the conversation. But they wouldn't watch gay porn, or watch NASCAR, in my presence. It would be rude, after all.

If my gay friends offer to have sex with me, I politely decline. My NASCAR friends offer to take me to a race, and I tell them no as well.

This isn't a perfect comparison. NASCARism is learned, homosexuality is not. But if I can get along with people who engage in a LEARNED behavior that I personally find distateful, instead of trying to change them, how can I deny those who are only doing what comes naturally for them?

Men who persecute homosexuals are afraid they might be one. Men who are secure in their own orientation shrug their shoulders and say, "Ah, well, to each their own."

12. Exactly! ....and welcome to DU!
This right-wing preoccupation with other people's sex lives is distasteful, vulgar, and probably indicates that they have more of an interest in that area than they would like others to realize.

Most of us just don't spend a lot of time worrying about other people's sex lives. It just isn't that interesting.

19. It's those fundies breaking the commandments again.
Specifically, the one about coveting. They are deathly afraid that someone, somewhere is having a better time than they are.

See Repukes cant have that to much of that love stuff and people might start to think somethings wrong with there spread of hate shame, guilt ,war ,greed. ya know things the bible tells you to do.
plus not only do they see sex, but they see SIN evil sin that could spread to god forbid there children.Since God smites people from time to time they don't want him coming down to turn them all to salt so they must try to shove the sinners back into the closet so they can be out of sight out of thought.

Not only are they uncomfortable with gay sex there uncomfortable with straight sex. I'm sure in some way because they have the feeling thats its just dirty to begin with, and when they see people having sex for enjoyment, it triggers off 1.The Sining light in there head and 2. I'm thinking the jealousy light in there head so yea repukes hate us for our freedoms.

So gay, straight, Bi doesn't matter to me but it does matter to them dictated by there faith and there conception of sex in general.so logic goes right out the window for these people because faith doesn't require you to think just believe and we will never change that in most of them.

11. that's and easy one...
What kind of guy gets hissyfitty about gay sex? The same guy that whacks off in secret to lesbian porn and tries to convince their wife/girlfriend to bring one of her penisless pals into their bed whether she wants to or not (apparently, only HIS interests/needs/pleasure is at issue there).

Seriously, I have yet to meet ONE SINGLE MAN that is not turned on by two women having sex, yet that same man goes green around the gills at the very idea of two men having sex.

It's only men having sex with other men that they have a problem with... all other penisless persons should be bisexual (except it's ok if a woman is a full-fledged lesbian, but bisexual when HIS particular penis is involved).

18. Reject antiquated sexuality...
and embrace PAN-SEXUALITY! Imagine, not having to explain who you love/have sex with.

I saw a bumper sticker that said "Straight, but not narrow" once. Bought it for a friend.
