A 25-year-old man from Georgia who was apparently distraught over President Bush's re-election shot and killed himself at ground zero. Andrew Veal's body was found Saturday morning inside the off-limits site, said Steve Coleman, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. A shotgun was found nearby, but no suicide note was found, Coleman said.

Veal killed himself because of Bush. But, look at what this 'Compassionate' Conservative had to say about that.

But, there is hope. I read one post and it moved me.

"It really saddens me to see so many taking delight in another's distress. Where are the Christian values that the Bush supporters claim to have? Oh, that's right, they are only Christian when it is convenient and helps them. But ask them to help others, they might if there is something in it for them. Where is mercy and kindness? It doesn't seem to be among the Bush supporters here!"

1. Well, I'm not christian, but

in christianity, suicide is a sin, so the "moral values" christians probably scorn this poor kid because he committed a sin.

Forget the sin of killing innocent women and children in Iraq, they don't count because they are not christians.

By the way this is not my feeling about the situation, just a projection of how a rural fundamentalist christian who voted for bush would see it.
