Why aren't we being shown Fallujah?
We were given a front row seat for "Shock and Awe" -- we watched the Marines hit the beach in Kuwait several years ago. I guess I'm just curious why we aren't getting a live feed of the massacre in Fallujah.

3. Subscribe to
the yahoo group "IraqFrontNews." I haven't been able to read many of the reports coming in, but now that my focus is shifting more toward the anti-war efforts, I'm afraid I'll be reading more and more of what is sent through this group.

It's heartbreaking.

And I'm not missing your point that mainstream press isn't covering it, and the government obviously doesn't want us to see the faces of the dead and the reality of the slaughter. We now know that we need to seek information on our own and learn the best routes through which to disseminate that information.

Welcome to Vietnam.

5. Simple..."major combat operations" were declared over
way back in May of '03 by the chimp-in-chief.

The American public would be upset to discover that this is indeed a major combat operation.

Therefore it must not be hyped as a major combat operation because that which is not hyped in America is ignored by the majority.
"Just some more dead sons and daughters of working class America and a mess of blown-up brown-skinned people...nothing to see here, folks! Move along now!"

I believe. Why can't we get pictures of the battles, etc, like VietNam?

Aren't foreign correspondents, photographers there?

7. because, dear, as Babs said
"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths," Barbara Bush said on ABC's "Good Morning America" on March 18, 2003. "Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that And watch him suffer?"

Same reason this was timed AFTER the mock election

8. Reality makes people lose their appetite for war....
The powers that be can't have their jingoistic military state if the vast majority of the population opposes war. To get around this, they and the complicit media like to perpetuate the myth that this is a nice clean war, with no civilian causalites and no US soldier deaths.

11. Because the death toll will be too high.
They will ship the bodies out to Germany or wherever and just dribble the death toll out slowly, in stead of admitting this is a mother of a battle and what a joke our highly trained and armed military is having such a hard time with street fighters.

12. Why were Russians not allowed to see Afghanistan in the 80s?
Why did Hitler and Bush attack Poland and Iraq on false pretenses based on evidence which was not allowed to be seen?

Same reason.

Totalitarian Nations are all alike at heart, whether they be brutal Hitlerian Regimes, Hardline Communist Regimes, or Brand-Spanking New BushPutinist Regimes.

"Managed Democracies".
