4. From what I know of witches...
or those who practice the craft, you can't go around putting curses on people unless you want it to come back to yourself. You'd better be pure before you do something like that, and ironically, a pure person wouldn't do something like that. What you can do is a spell that will expose duplicity and deceit--in other words, a spell that will expose one's true nature. For instance, it has to be Bush who exposes or ruins himself, and you don't need any spells for that, because it's going to happen anyway.

and he got "re-elected" instead. Nothing's going to happen to the king because he is one of "God"'s chosen.God is on HIS side and the rest of us are meaningless. :eyes:

9. this is a very modern 20th century idea
A traditional witch from the old times would chuckle at the concept that you cannot run around putting curses on people. I dug around in these matters for quite a few years back in the day and I never uncovered any evidence that the Threefold Law pre-dates Crowley. In times gone past, the whole purpose of witchcraft was to upset the natural order and to put an otherwise helpless person in a stronger position.

Having large numbers of people believe that using their power is bad and dangerous is a great way to keep them powerless. If you have power and don't use it, then you don't have it.

If I had such talent, I think I would feel a responsibility to use it.

The lesson of history is that freedom, liberty, and democracy are very rare and transient phenomena in the human condition. Most times, most places, leaders will be incompetent or abusive. Change doesn't come by sitting on our hands and being too pure to take action.

Just my opinion of it anyway.

I suspect you're demi-joking, but you won't get what you're looking for from real witches. Didn't you see the Daily Show where Corddery goes to Salem? :-)

10. true...but
A witch could cast an enlightment and truth spell to wake up the masses.

If this worked, then the results would be positive for everyone.

12. The use of 'Black' majik is prohibited by Wiccans, however
Wicca is relatively new and is interpretive of the Pagan practice of majik. The idea of the use of majik as a weapon was used against witches in Church trials as proof of their being dangerous to the general population. A weapon used injudiciously is a danger to all, a weapon used in the defence of the innocent ennobles the user. The Goddess will know the intention of the user.

14. White Witches/Black Magick
is all bull...

It's about balance. Honoring your dark side and appreciating your light side. Putting a "hex" or a "curse" on someone is not forbidden, as long as the spellworker is willing to accept the possible repercussions, and the intended target is truly deserving of such. The Italian form of Witchcraft was probably the most understanding of this. Strega/Stregone were respected as healers and justice keepers.

Please understand also that spellwork is nothing more than prayer to Deity. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, no matter how focused the caster may be.

As a suggestion, instead of asking for spells to be cast, take a proactive step and demand accountability of the Bush Administration by writing, making phone calls, showing up in person at your local media outlet. If they don't want to help, then go to another, and another. There's alot of dirt to be uncovered, and only a constant barrage of outcries from American's will give the media the balls to look into shit.

In the meantime... consider a handy dandy little spell for exposing hidden truths by the current Administration to be underway.

16. Truth and justice spells are the way to go, IMO.
For all of the debates, my "wish" was that neither candidate would be able to hide what he was from the people who were watching. I didn't feel that this was in any way an unfair or unreasonable request, and I had no problem with doing it.

One interesting deity I've been studying recently is Shamash, the Mesopotamian god of justice and the defender of those who are suffering unjustly. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamash)

17. You need to stop this nonsense.
For starters, I'm a Christian and I do very much believe in the power of prayer. I don't think a person has to be a witch or a pagan to produce the kind of results that you're looking for. Though, for a Christian, it would be inadvertent. Christians would never pray for something evil to happen to someone, but I do believe that God works in mysterious ways, and in my life, when someone has caused me harm I have prayed for nothing more than serenity to accept the situation or guidance to determine which direction to go next.

So, I suggest that those of us who don't have a role to play in the election fraud investigations just follow Elizabeth Edward's advice. Be patient and wait. If our assistance is needed, I'm sure we'll know when to step back in.

20. I'm a Pagan and I agree with you
Spells are nothing more than prayers, just a different word for the same kind of thing. There are people who call themselves Christians right now asking for God to do things that are very un-Christian, imo. Similarly, it is against my understanding of Paganism to ask for the destruction of others.

Strive to live in harmony with the universe and with God, whether your name for God is Jesus, the Mother and Father, Allah, or any of the many other names by which God is understood.

Fight earthly battles with earthly weapons, including the pen, which is mightier than the sword.
