I'm starting to think it was fraud and not morals. But I need one piece... |
|
...of info.
On the day after the election, I was told that one quarter of Ohio's electorate consider themselves conservative Christians (or born again or something like that). I was told they got out to vote. But I haven't seen the actual number. I presumed that they showed up because of the gay marriage thing.
I am so sure that the gay marriage thing turned out to be a flop for the Republicans -- they could only get them on the ballots in the most conservative states, and they didn't poll well as major concerns for people.
But I did think that it might have made the difference in Ohio. But I need to know what the percentage of election day voters in Ohio were religions right voters. Was it close to the low '96 & '00 percentage of something like 15%??? Or was it at the high '94 end of something like 22%, or was it greater than their % in the OH population as a whole. I'd also to like to know why they showed up. Maybe it was abortion or because Kerry was a Catholic. Or maybe it was nothing more than a lot of hard work in the churches G'ing OTV.
I'm starting to get the feeling that the gay marriage thing is being offered up as the excuse in order to cover-up disenfranchisement and to try to resuscitate what could be an effective wedge issue if they could grow it beyond about 11 really conservative states (in the same way that Nader became the obsession of the left after 2000).

1. I woke up this morning... |

CONVINCED...Convinced that this is fraud... It's the exit polls...how could they ALL be wrong for the President, yet they were right for the Senate races in all those states??? That's the big hole, I think... I do think the gay marriage and the morals issue is the smokescreen along with sadly to say, this Iraqi Falluja (sp) attack,,,WHY did they wait for after the elction...I know they didn't want body bags before the election but I think it's to get people's minds to move on, we're at war here...it's sick thinking I know but I'm really feeling this is beyond Watergate stuff...

2. They will tell you whatever they like. |

They lie all the time, eh? It's not new, it's been this way forever, it's just a bit more blatant than usual, it's getting harder to hide. Do you really think Kerry and Bush are not on the same side? Do you really think Kerry will take your side against the ruling class, of which he is a card-carrying member? Sorry, I know it's depressing. But we knew all this forty years ago during VietNam, it seems to have been forgotten. The same games were played in the same way, and the suckers bought it in the same way. We get the kind of government we deserve.
