The modern Luddites
Obviously I haven't thought this through, but I'll throw it out there anyway.

I believe we progressives should infiltrate county elections offices, county clerks, Diebold Corp, ESS and Sequoia etc. and work to DESTROY these democracy stealers.
It goes w/o saying that we should get our people into these positions anyway to counter the GOP. However alot of these jobs are elected, so there is the first snag. They already OWN the vote.
We can no longer just protest and whine and cry.
We are merely a troublesome "focus group", albeit of 56 million people. They will laugh at us and relegate us to the trash pile of history, if we let them.

I am very sad to say that IMHO we are all on the edge of something that none of us want. When we have to stand up and cross the line.
Where is that line?

The line where resistance and dissent meet illegality and violence.
Who can define when the time is right to take justice into our own hands. I'm sure Bush will define it for us.
I respect Gandhi and M.L.King.
I'm not sure what we should do. I just don't think what we're doing is going to keep these blood fiends at bay.

1. I read a story about how some guy
ran into a polling place and threw some flour in the air. They evacuated the polling place and had people vote somewhere else. I wonder if that "somewhere else" used electronic voting machines?

2. It was sugar...Ain't that sweet?
Luddites, schmuddites...we are killing our souls and choking our liberties with all of our new fangled toys. I get nearly all my social juice electronically now. I am becoming a troglodyte. There are careful considerations over medical ethics while unminded technology runs riot over the land and the psyche and the vote count.

Things that taste good are not always good for you.
