I propose James Carville for new head of the Democratic Party
He's a Southerner, he has good instincts, he helped Bill Clinton get elected.

Anyone agree with me that James Carville should be the new DNC chair?

5. Why not Karl Rove or Zell Miller.
They're both southerners, both political operatives, both attuned to getting the "moderate" vote - just like Carville.

He's a DLC shill, for sale to the highest bidder.

As for "getting Bill Clinton elected", it was that other southerner that did it. Ross Perot.

8. I don't trust him because he allowed Kerry to be steamrolled by the
repubs. The rhetoric from the Kerry camp should have been sharper and more direct. Instead of words like misled, lie would have been better. Instead of speaking softly and gentlemanly, we should have been kicking and screaming and outing the bush* administration for the illegal and immoral crap they'd pulled from 2000 on. Instead of

When Kerry's Viet Nam record became a major issue AWOL's records should have been truly exposed. NOPE, all these guys have got to go. We need a fighter, not an appeaser.

We now have two major fronts involved in the war for this country. Election fraud, which should have been a major issue during this election, and the lies of the bush* cabal.

It was a matter of intelligence and decency vs. who-I-could-sit-down-and-have-a-beer-with and some kind of crazed fake evangelical Christianity. The beer drinkers and the idiots who have no understanding of religion were taken in. The intelligentsia in this country knew better. We need to start educating this dumb asses right away. Let them in on the secret that the bush* administration DOES NOT have their best interests at heart. That they're just a bunch of fools that they can siphon money from and use their kids for cannon fodder. And debunk this 'global mandate' shit NOW. bush* twisted that issue inside out, upside down, and backward. And he got away with it because his handlers have no qualms about being lying sacks of shit. In fact, that's a badge of honor with them. We need to get nasty ourselves, but we have a better weapon. The truth.

Clark/Obama 08'

Here are the principles we uphold:

Fulfilling our commitments to America's veterans and all men and women who serve our country.

Government Accountability
People before the powerful

Free but Fair trade with emphasis on the rights of workers, human rights, and the environment.

A progressive and fair tax system

Protecting the Constitution and the Environment for ourselves and our heirs

An informed electorate educated by fair and honest public dialogue
Transparent government

Protection of voting rights--paper verification for electronic voting.

A commitment to insure all Americans equal rights under the law

Courts peopled by those sworn to uphold the law as opposed to advancing ideologies.

A government that provides opportunities for its citizens to serve.
International law trumps diplomacy; diplomacy trumps force. Force only, only, only, as a last resort.

A multilateral foreign policy which includes both hard power and soft power.

People over partisanship

Recognition that: Dissent is the highest form of patriotism

Programs with a view to the future, not just the next election cycle.

Living our family values by promoting our citizens' potential with support for public & college education, health care and jobs.

Government promotion and encouragement of inquiry to develop alternative solutions for energy independence and high tech job creation

Recognition that diversity is our greatest strength

12. No!
I've been disgusted with Carville since May 22, 2002 when he made the following remark about Bush and 9/11 during an interview with Jane Harman:

CARVILLE: And what's the problem with them knowing what the president -- now I don't think the president -- obviously it's idiotic to think that he knew this was going to happen, didn't do anything about it, but I think a logical question is should he have known, given what was happening?

http://archives.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/05/22/cf.crossfire/

I was watching and nearly went ballistic when he said "obviously it's idiotic to think he knew this was going to happen, didn't do anything about it,..."

16. NO. He's a corporate shill, and not all that interested in democracy.
If he was, he wouldn't have worked with the rightwing Venezuelan "opposition" coup plotters.

No, thanks. NO MORE CORPORATISTS!
