Bush* requests twice as many police officers at his inauguration...
this year, compared to last time.

(according to ABC News, just heard on the radio)

3. Can't imagine why he'd think that was necessary.

After all, the whole country loves him; he has a Man Date. Nobody is going to show up to protest or anything like that because he's so incredibly popular. Maybe all those police officers will be needed just to keep people from being knocked over by the adoring crowds, stampeding to try to catch a glimpse of this great hero.

4. Kinda like when Castro fell...if you looked at the online pics
the first three rows were empty and Castro was addressing his own party...it begs the question..if these guys are so beloved and have such a mandate why must they be protected in the presence of their own party?

7. If he thought 2000
was bad, with the eggs and so forth, imagine what may happen this time...And my guess is that he will once again chicken out and not face the REAL will of the people.

10. What is the point of a full blown inaugural for a re election.
The conventions are a horrid waste of money, but can be argued to be necessary. An inaugural for a first time president makes sense, but for a sitting president, NOT.

It's a tradition that can easily move to the trashcan of history. A simple ceremony in the Capitol rotunda is more than sufficient.

22. What Did You Expect?
Especially when people here are saying to bury the eggs now so they'll be ready in January?

I ran across this page http://www.turnyourbackonbush.org/ and think this is a MUCH better idea, since you can't be arrested and disappeared for it.
