ATM's vs Voting Machines

What if we had a choice of two banks that we could do business with? One doesn't give receipts the other one is shut down for a day and we end up using the bank that does not give receipts.

What if we all were putting money into the bank and we trusted it because it's a bank and the banks are honest and they don't rip us off.

What if you received your statement at the end of the month and instead of the money that you placed into the bank as a deposit came up on your statement as a withdrawal.

What if you went into the bank and told the people in charge that you had made a deposit and they told you that you didn't and all of the people on that day also made withdrawals.

You know that you were robbed along with millions of other people but you couldn't do anything about it because the people that made withdrawals that day believe that the ATM's are doing their job. The people that believe that their bank isn't cheating them don't mind that they are not given a receipt because it doesn't affect them.

Picture this the people that know that they were robbed wanted to do something about it but they can't. The people that are fighting mad knew for a fact that they didn't make a withdrawal and they know that if it has been done at this bank that it will continue until someone stops it.

Now, think about this. The media is part of the corporation that owns that bank and the CEO is their spokesman who writes their paychecks. The media tells you that all of the people made withdrawals that day and you buy their lies because why would the media lie to you. I mean you do follow orders when your company tells you to do your job right?

Think about this. The CEO gets on TV and tells you that he is right and he is going to continue doing business the way that he has done before. He tells you that he has a mandate and he doesn't need to give receipts back and his customers have spoken.

What happens in the future when you walk into the bank to make your deposit and instead of a deposit your statement at the end of the month tells you that you made a withdrawal.

Do you have a receipt and can you prove it?

Will there ever be an end to the theft?

Will it be too late to change the system.

Will they be the only bank around after the rest of the banks go down?

you make on an ATM electronically as well.

Why, oh why, do you suppose they didn't decide to make voting machines at least as reliable as ATM's. When I heard there would be no record, I knew there and then they were planning another coup.

...be it at the corner ATM or an on-line purchase gives you the option of taking a receipt. In the case of on-line shopping, it took years for it to catch on because despite the receipt, many were suspicious of the 'security' of these transactions. These same people who were cautious about whether their LL Bean order could be trusted with a receipt are now willing to cast their vote, their only voice in the body politic, to BBV with no receipt. Someone please explain this to me. Is this truly a nation of idiots?
