10. Ooooh - good idea!
I can print it out and sew it onto a canvas bag. I bet those are cheap to buy in quantity. When they get dirty, toss and start fresh.

11. Absolutely not. Red is a state of mind, not a state.

13. ET TU......... DU
"BETTER DEAD THAN RED" ?
The slogan was used in the United States in the 1950s by anti-Communists to express their opposition to a Communist takeover in the USA, or indeed to any "POTENT LEFTIST INFLUENCE" at all.

See: McCarthyism

The act of making insufficiently supported accusations or engaging in unfair investigatory methods against a person as a purported attempt to unfairly silence or discredit them is often referred to as McCarthyism.

The Arthur Miller play "The Crucible", written during the McCarthy era, used the Salem witch trials as a metaphor for the McCarthyism of the 1950s, suggesting that the PROCESS OF McCARTHYISM-STYLE PERSECUTION CAN OCCUR AT ANY TIME AND ANY PLACE.

14. And turn around is fair play
Btw, thanks for posting the history of it. Being a baby boomer, I take it for granted that most people know about it.

15. That's kind of the point Bama . . . the people most likely to have used
the slogan THEN, are now coveting the title of "red" in an entirely new way. It's more a way of throwing their own bigotry and idiocy in their faces.

I kind of like it to be honest.
