The Democratic Broadcasting Network--single most important task

I propose we focus all effort on uniting as many philanthropic Dems as possible toward this one goal:

A MEDIA OUTLET THAT SLANTS IN OUR FAVOR

regulation is gone (thanks Ronnie) and the Christofascists knew a good thing when they saw it.

Most of all we need a voice.

We do not need a million different threads on a relatively small blog, voicing outrage at the twisted values of the Christofascists. (well yes we do, for networking and venting and community, but this is all preaching to the choir)

WE NEED MEDIA THAT WILL PROPEL OUR AWARENESS INTO THE PUBLIC ARENA.
WE NEED SOUNDBITES. People don't even know the difference between truth and lies anymore. People have no respect for facts, because they are not being given any facts. At least not in an easy to digest format that they can sit and have spoonfed to them after a murderous day at one or maybe two jobs.

WHO WILL GIVE US AIRTIME?

I'm not joking when I say I think this is of utmost importance. Many people didn't vote Dem because no one is telling them the facts.

On our own Broadcasting Network, we could address every issue we investigate here, provide facts, untwist minds.

5. Amen to that...

If we don't get a media outlet that pushes the truth and our agenda, we will be lost in the wilderness. We must all write to George Soros NOW and ask him to consider funding a major media outlet for the progressive/left/democrats. This is very essential to our survival and to the survival of our democracy.

as Bobby Kennedy Jr. brought up on Al Franken's show. But who's going to do it? Who will sell? How does this happen?

Right now, AirAmerica could be snuffed out just like THAT if Clear Channel radio saw fit because so many affiliates of the network are in fact Clear Channel.

Not trying to be discouraging. Just pointing out it is one thing to expose the problem and suggest a solution. But how to make it happen?!?!

Well, I guess one way is to keep listening to Air America and supporting it's advertisers. Money always talks with these corporate fascist ba$tards.

I don't know exactly, but I do know there are alot of Dems out there with alot of money.

If they would consolidate behind one idea, it would do more to offset the liars and get the truth out than any other single action I can think of. Part of the problem is, our truth is so big (there are so many lies to counter). The blog world is great, but not consolidated enough and not easily accessable enough.

I don't know the names of the Dem and Progressive think tanks out there. That's why I'm asking for suggestions here.
