They need to see our faces.
We need to boycott Republican businesses on a personal leve tool. Don't let
them lump us into those "Dim Libs", and act like we are some alien species.

Someone posted here yesterday that he had decided not to hire a
contractor he was considering because of his vote for Bush, and
told the contractor as much. I plan to do similar things. I will casually
ask business' I frequent if they were happy Bush got re-elected, and if
they say yes I will politely say that I am taking my business elsewhere.

Acrimonious? Yes, but like I said, they need to see our faces and understand
that we are not just going to cave.

1. Sounds good -- BUT...
Smart people in business, especially in a sales roll, know to keep their mouths shut about politics. Religion and Politics are a no-no in business.

So it might work on some, but the good ones will just say something like, "I'm sorry, I prefer not to discuss politics with my business associates."

3. Its worth a try...
That's why the ask must be casual--get 'em off guard.

4. One thing you can do for the NEXT campaign
is when stores start putting up campaign posters for candidates, you should tell them you patronize businesses that support repukes. I got more than a dozen stores to remove theirs, and now I know a lot more about where I should shop.

5. No Wal-Mart or Home Depot
when you can, shop locally owned places. In small towns, its usually very easy to find the politics of the owners. These owners are usually more receptive to customers as well. Tell them you are for free enterprise for the little guy, tell them you'll bring in business for them, then do it. If they are liberal, they'll stay liberal.

6. Go to www.fundrace.org

you can put in your zip or city and get a listing of all campaign donations in that area....
Very good research tool and great for personal boycotts. I fully intend to use this when spending my hard earned money.
