DU help needed on researching Darke County Ohio Result in question

Comparing the 2000 election results to the 2004 election results.

You will notice Kerry had recieved 78 LESS votes than al gore in 2000 while Bush recieved over 3,000 MORE votes than what he got in 2000

What are the chances of the 3,000 new voters casted their ballots, all voted for Bush and not one single ballot was casted for Kerry.

Darke is the only county in the Miami valley for kerry to recieve less votes than al gore, and for bush to recieve an astronomical amount of votes compared to 2000.

Several voters had contacted the Kerry Headquarters in Darke County, reporting possible faulty punch card machines.
