Have you noticed how Bush is using OUR words? "Hope" and "Optimism"

No doubt most of you have read the thread about how Bush now wants to push forward a federal gay marriage ban; he chose to use the words "hopeful" to describe why he wants to ban gay marriage across the US: to create a more "hopeful" and "decent" society. Now I just read that he's considering naming Thomas Clarence the Chief Justice of the SC to embody "hope" and "optimism" of America.
Folk, these bastards are twisting our words. Psychologically, it's brilliant: voters clearly liked the hope and optimism of Kerry and Edwards, so what does W do? He hijacks it and does a Orwellian twist on them.
This is scary shit.

We have to beat them at their own game. They base their programs on greed. They say "Why should you have to give your money to the government? We'll let you keep more of it to do as you wish." We need to appeal to the greed factor (investing is better than owning because you'll get a bigger benefit back) , plus we need to frame it so that is sounds like they would not be doing their patriotic duty if they did not participate, and instead took the greedy Republican way out. We need to take a page our of FDR's playbook. We need to invest in health care, retirement, education, our nation's infrastructure, there are lots of things American's can "invest" in, instead of paying taxes on. Remember - paying taxes is bad, investing is good!
